written by Megan Zong with music by respectfulchild
Based on true events, Unmasked by Megan Zong explores a young woman’s experience with Psychosis. Featuring music by respectfulchild, the story weaves poetry and movement, providing a look into a mind struggling to discern reality from delusion.
Content Conversations (sometimes referred to as content warnings) are our opportunity to give you a heads-up about some of the things you will encounter in the production. We recognize that certain content could be triggering and that there are some days you might not want to deal with those things or might want to have a heads-up before you do. We try to offer a sense of how the content is engaged, as well as what the content is.
If you prefer to be surprised by the content, feel free to skip this section. Engage with the play in whatever way you wish!
Afterplay discussions are curated conversations that take place following select performances. This is your chance to discuss what Unmasked meant to you and engage with the experiences of others in a supportive, inquisitive environment.
Hosted by a member of the community who has themself just seen the show, think of it as a book club for the theatre. The host will come with some prompts (and some free cookies) but the conversation is up to you!
Afterplay discussions will be held following the performance on the following dates:
Saturday, September 11th @ 8pm
Sunday, September 12th @ 2pm
Thursday, September 16th @ 8pm
Sunday, September 19th @ 2pm
